The major conflict between Roxy Willis and Amy Greenwood has been changed, according to Zima Anderson of Neighbours.
Roxy and Amy have had many clashes while working together at The Flamingo Bar in recent weeks, as observed by UK viewers.
Amy (Jacinta Stapleton) was just assigned to the new business on a trial basis, but her presence has irritated Roxy. Since then, Paul Robinson and Terese Willis have warned that the couple’s continuous feud is unsustainable, and one of them may have to go.
“When we got the narrative with Roxy and Amy fighting and being fairly catty towards one other, we were making sure that ladies weren’t being represented with an aggressive catfight situation,” Zima said of the plot.
“It doesn’t work like that in the actual world. We didn’t want it to appear as another one of those catfights that doesn’t portray women in a positive manner.
“When we made changes, we pushed them through with zeal. We witnessed envy, but Roxy was enraged with Amy because she saw how well Amy was doing and wanted to be just like her. At the same time, Roxy was really proud of Amy.
“The authors, producers, and directors were all really open to letting us try things out. That’s just because they have faith in us, which is a wonderful thing!”
“I believe it’s very essential to emphasise that women aren’t adversaries in the workplace,” she said. Women, in particular, who have daring ideas and desire to be the boss, should support and encourage one another.
“Being domineering might be viewed as a negative trait in a woman. But it’s important to embrace your objectives and want to be in charge when you have them. It’s critical to demonstrate women cooperating and achieving their goals.”
Roxy and Amy must put their differences aside to make the Longest Workout competition a success in this Friday’s show on Channel 5 (July 9).
Amy is well aware that if she wants her trial term to convert into a permanent employment, she must succeed.
“I think Roxy and Amy fight because they are so similar,” Zima continued. Roxy aspires to be like Amy and is envious of her in certain ways, but she also admires her. It’s an unusual connection.
“It’s entertaining to play since they have such similar characteristics and battle in the same way.
“Roxy may be a little ditzy and make errors, but when she’s on her game, she’s a force to be reckoned with, Amy has discovered. Amy is a little taken aback by this.
“Amy was a little scared by Roxy, who is another tiny blonde gal who is eager to steal her crown.
“Because they are one and the same, I believe they have the ability to establish peace. When they realise this and recognise themselves in each other, it’s a wonderful mutual accord.
“I believe it will bring them closer together, that it will be lovely, and that they will have a wonderful friendship.”
