In next week’s episode of Neighbours in the UK, David loses control during an argument with Leo, and Harlow begins to doubt Jesse’s motives.
These episodes will begin airing on Monday, August 16th.
The Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) problem reaches a boiling point next week, when she departs Ramsay Street, as we detailed in this week’s other Neighbours spoiler post.
While Nicolette is grieving as a result of Chloe’s (April Rose Pengilly) treachery, she isn’t the only one. David (Takaya Honda) and Aaron (Matt Wilson) must come to grips with the reality that their baby’s mother may have abandoned them for good.
David is struggling to keep his emotions in check as a result of the repercussions.
David is understandably worried after her abrupt departure, which came without even a letter indicating where she was heading. He finds himself difficult to sleep or even think straight as the days pass without hearing from Nicolette.
He even gets into a verbal spat with Sergeant Rodwell (Lloyd Will), who chastises him for not trying enough to discover his baby’s mother. It’s uncharacteristic of David, and only his brother Leo (Tim Kano) intervenes to keep Rodwell from dragging David into the station.
David, on the other hand, appears to be even more irritated by Leo. After all, the events of the previous several days would not have occurred if he and Chloe hadn’t gotten drunk and spent the night together.
The doctor, enraged, lashes out at his brother, telling him that the only reason he came close to Chloe was to get into her underwear and nothing else.
It’s all Leo’s fault, in his opinion.
Leo, on the other hand, has an entirely different narrative to tell. He hired Chloe to keep Nicolette away from her. He had a feeling she was terrible news from the start, and the things he heard from Paul (Stefan Dennis) and Pierce (Don Hany) just confirmed his concerns.
The couple’s fight becomes ugly in front of their loved ones. Finally, Leo can’t control his venom and spits it out.
Leo tells his brother, “You chose the wrong person to have your baby.” David’s face flushes when he hears what he says next.
David, unable to control his rage, lashes out and strikes Leo in the face.
Is the brothers’ relationship irreversibly broken?
In other news, the Nicolette scenario proves to be an unforeseen stumbling block in Levi (Richie Morris) and Amy’s (Jacinta Stapleton) relationship.
He and Ned (Ben Hall) have been fighting for Amy’s attention for the past few weeks, and it’s no secret.
They agreed to go on separate dates with Amy since she was divided between the two.
First, Amy and Ned travel to the Waterhole for a date, which goes well. Ned instantly considers the idea of a second, but Levi comes at precisely the right (or flawed, in Ned’s case!) moment.
“I usually prefer to stop when I’m ahead,” Ned adds as he excuses himself, leaving Levi to speculate on Amy’s first date’s success or failure.
She’s silent about how it went, but she’s looking forward to theirs the next day. Levi promises her that he has something unique in store for her… she’ll be getting wet with a wild animal!
Levi, on the other hand, is forced to cancel his date at the last minute when he becomes embroiled in the Nicolette incident the next day.
Amy is extremely disappointed and depressed, especially after he cancels by text message!
Amy marches off, heels in hand, after telling what occurred to Kyle (Chris Milligan). She’d put on her most inconvenient shoes for no reason.
Amy bumps into Ned later, still enraged that she dressed up for nothing.
It’s the ideal moment for Ned to swoop in… He can’t, however, stand by and watch Levi take the fall for something that isn’t his fault. Even if they are now love rivals, they are still friends.
He recounts the circumstances behind Nicolette’s disappearance, and Amy realises there was a legitimate purpose for Levi’s departure.
Ned clearly cares about Amy and Levi’s well-being. Will he take a backseat to give the two an opportunity to shine?
Meanwhile, Harlow (Jemma Donovan) is still pissed off with Jesse (Cameron Robbie) for spying on the Lassiters.
Even though it’s been a week, she can see the scars are still fresh when she meets him.
She informs him that she would arrange for his possessions to be transferred to him after removing him from Lassiters premises. She has no desire to see him again.
However, she is taken aback when she hears that the Quill Hotel Group has acquired the useless plot of land that Paul tried to dupe them into buying.
She’s perplexed now that she realises Jesse knew the truth yet still urged his family to buy the shady land. She makes touch with him and expresses her want to speak with him.
He quickly reveals his true feelings, telling Harlow that he doesn’t want anything to do with his family and is content to see them fail.
To this point, Harlow has been forced to examine herself and her values. Is Jesse as evil as his mother and step-brothers, or is there something more at work?
Keep an eye on things
The opening titles of Thursday’s episode of Neighbours were changed in a clever way by the show’s producers.
Leo has replaced Nicolette in an image with Chloe now that she is no longer in the frame.
It remains to be seen if this is a permanent feature (a la Cassius) or not!
