In its opening titles on Australian televisions, Neighbors replaced Nicolette Stone with Leo Tanaka after the newest twist of their show.
After the abrupt disappearance of Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) at the conclusion of the programme on Wednesday, Nicolette declared today (22 July) that he was not going to return to Ramsay Street. The changing opening titles feature Leo (Tim Kano) alongside Chloe Brennan, reflecting this new development (April Rose Pengilly).
But there is no suspicion that Nicolette departed permanently, so that the audience will have to stay tuned to see whether she returned…
10 Peach spectators saw Nicolette totally unaware of her fiancée’s worries regarding her connection. While Chloe professes that she is in love with Nicolette, she’s privately concerned they are going too quickly.
Leo, who has affections for his ex and tries to lead a wedge between the pair, is not helpful.
Nicolette is now just several weeks from the date of her arrival with David Tanaka and Aaron Brennan’s kid.
Yesterday Chloe admitted to Nicolette her relationship fears she could have slept with Leo and became clean. After realising David and Aaron had known Chloe’s sentiments and covered her up, Nicolette was saddened further.
Nicolette, feeling deceived, accused David and Aaron of hypocrisy with their falsehoods.
But Nicolette’s edge was pushed by a chat with Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson) who refused to sympathise with Nicolette. Paul claimed that David and Aaron would never trust her and would never be seen as part of the family.
Finally Chloe realised that she and Leo were not asleep, but then Nicolette found that she had departed the city already.
David, Aaron, Chloe and Jane Harris (Annie Jones) tried to find Nicolette in Thursday’s programme. Levi reached Nicolette and discovered in an off-screen talk that Nicolette had no plans to return.
In particular, David had difficulty maintaining it together and finally stunning Leo when Leo disclosed that he recruited Chloe to the vineyard, in order to keep an eye on Nicolette and accused him of having chosen Nicolette as his substitut.
Star Tim Kano earlier taught that he doubled as a plot element his addition to the opening titles.
“What they did is extremely intriguing,” he remarked earlier this month. “The authors pondered about this narrative and how to do it. The opening titles belong, I suppose, to the tale.”
In the next four weeks, UK viewers will watch these moments on Channel 5.
