On UK televisions next week, Chloe Brennan of Neighbours struggles to cope after accepting Nicolette’s surprise proposal.
April Rose Pengilly’s character, Chloe, has been experiencing concerns about her connection with Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes). Simultaneously, Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) has been attempting to separate the pair.
When Chloe and Leo arrive late to the baby shower, David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) and Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) will learn about Chloe’s reservations
After Nicolette’s emotional speech at the baby shower, Chloe is completely devoted again in the following scenes.
Chloe plans a romantic breakfast, which Nicolette finds appealing. When Nicolette talks about the future, though, Chloe starts to stress out again in private.
To Paul Robinson, Leo confesses his affections for Chloe (Stefan Dennis).
Chloe then confides in Leo, stating that she believes her connection with Nicolette is developing too quickly, and Leo responds with a strategy. That plot, however, does not go as planned, as Nicolette pulls off a big surprise.
When Nicolette proposes to Chloe on one knee, she is taken aback. Despite Chloe’s worries and Nicolette’s utter ignorance of them, Chloe agrees — much to the delight of her girlfriend.
Nicolette joyfully informs everyone of the engagement news, but David and Aaron, who are aware of Chloe’s earlier reservations, are concerned.
Chloe quickly begins to confide in Leo again, and Leo expresses his belief that accepting Nicolette’s proposal is a major mistake.
As her mother Jane Harris (Annie Jones) organizes a surprise engagement party for the couple, a joyful Nicolette stays blind to Chloe’s misgivings. The party, David and Aaron believe, will not be good for Chloe.
Chloe struggles throughout the party, feeling smothered, and ultimately runs away and dials Leo’s number.
When David and Aaron realize Chloe has gone missing, they walk outside and witness Leo hugging Chloe…
