Home And Away’s Penny McNamee: ‘Baby Shark is going to haunt me forever’

Although she may appear on television as a fictitious doctor – which would be a hit –

a doctor in Summer Bay Home and Away – Tori Morgan Penny McNamee is still capable of giving sound advise on how to keep fit and healthy.

“Don’t wait to find time to exercise; get up and do it as soon as you think about it,” she advises.

with the type of zeal that you might see motivating her TV patients to get in shape and lose weight.

“It’s better to do ten squats than nothing.”

McNamee acknowledges that remaining in shape with children may be challenging, especially now that we’re back in lockdown, after five years on Home And Away and a nomination for Best New Talent at the Logies.

“I’m not going to lie, it’s difficult having two small children,” the 38-year-old admits.

“Before iso, I used to leave the house and the kids to go to the gym.

“I’d go to the gym once a week, play netball once a week, and swim laps at the local pool once a week.

“When those choices were abruptly removed, I had to figure out how to workout at home with the kids in tow.

“Dance gatherings are quite popular. The kids get to choose their favourite tunes – Baby Shark will haunt me for the rest of my life – and jogging with the pram becomes the most convenient method to remain in shape.”

Nonetheless, this TV documentary understands the significance of a few well-deserved sweets to counteract the blood, sweat, and tears.

McNamee says, “I’m a self-confessed chocoholic.”

“Give me a Kit-Kat and I’ll be fine.”
