After the turmoil with Lewis (Luke Arnold), Jasmine (Sam Frost) has had some time to be single, but will the next person who is interested in her be the perfect fit? She runs across Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) who is out in the water as she is out running. The two are instantly enthralled by each other.
Later, at the Surf Club, Cash bumps into Jasmine again and attempts to get her to join touch football. When their chat is done, they awkwardly start heading in the same direction, and when Cash says he wants to check out the gym, Jasmine reveals she’s the owner.
Cash accepts Jasmine’s offer to show him around, and an attraction develops between them. Cash runs into her in Salt and offers to buy her a drink. Any further preparations, however, are thwarted when John (Shane Withington) notices them from his table with Irene (Lynne McGranger) and invites them to an awkward group lunch.
The next morning, they talk about their unusual night in Salt, and Cash expresses his desire to go out just the two of them. When Jasmine realizes he’s asking her out on a date, she panics and claims she needs to leave, hurriedly rushing away and leaving Cash perplexed.
Cash is distant and inattentive later on shift with Murray (John-Paul Jory). Murray inquires as to what is going on, and Cash admits that he is interested in Jasmine.
Murray reveals that she was formerly married to one of the officers, prompting Cash to question his colleague about Jasmine’s history…
