Home and Away Spoilers – Cash messes things up with Jasmine

Cash and Jasmine have grabbed each other’s attention on next week’s episode of Home and Away in the UK, but he’s about to make a move that might permanently put her off him.

This week, look for something a bit different. These episodes aired as part of the mid-season finale of Home and Away in Australia before the show went on hiatus for the Olympics for two weeks.

Extra drama, extra heartbreak, and a cliffhanger that will have you on the tip of your seat are all present. Thankfully, UK viewers will only have to wait until the weekend to discover what happened, but Australian viewers will have to wait two weeks.

Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Jasmine (Sam Frost) had a fascinating first encounter. During the hunt for Kieran last week, Jasmine had a seizure and fainted after forgetting to take her epilepsy medicine (Rick Donald).

Alf (Ray Meagher) misread the situation, believing Kieran had injured or assaulted Jasmine, and dispatched Summer Bay’s rookie officer to the location, where luckily Jasmine soon cleared things.

Next week, as Jasmine jogs past the outdoor pool where Cash is swimming in the morning, the two active young ladies see one other.

Jasmine doesn’t recall their previous meeting, so she’s taken aback when the beautiful Senior Detective appears to recognize her and inquires about her feelings. When Cash fills in the specifics, she is slightly humiliated, but she appears disappointed when he swiftly leaps back into the water to resume his swim.

Thankfully, they don’t have to wait long to run into each other again — it seems like they’re continually crossing paths around the little town.

Cash’s touch football plans pique Jasmine’s curiosity, and she grabs one of the pull-off slips from his poster before realizing he’s the organizer.

When the two eventually meet in the Surf Club and are properly introduced, they go their own ways – until they realize they’re both going to the gym. Cash finds that Jasmine is the proprietor, and it appears that their similar interests will mean they’ll be spending a lot of time together.

Jasmine appears to be enamored with her new acquaintance, and it’s apparent that she finds him appealing. But it won’t be long until everything comes tumbling down.

The next time they meet is at Salt, where Jasmine is picking up takeout and Cash is having a single meal. He asks her to sit at his table with him, allowing them the opportunity to get to know one another, but they’re interrupted seconds later by an alternate proposal from John (Shane Withington), thereby ending any possibility of romance!

Irene (Lynne McGranger) and John are having dinner together for the first time since their tumultuous evening with Susie a few months ago. He asks the two to join them, rejecting Irene’s pleas to leave them alone, in typical Palmer style. “Come on, the more the merrier,” John says, and the two are forced to form an uncomfortable foursome.

They were definitely having a good time, despite the awkwardness. They run into each other at the pool the next morning, and Cash asks Jasmine to dinner for just the two of them – “without the chaperones.

“As in a date?” Jasmine inquires. When Cash nods, Jasmine’s demeanor shifts, becoming abruptly worried. “Sorry, I have to go,” she adds as she dashes out, leaving Cash perplexed.

Is it true that he misread their attraction? In truth, she’s just worried about starting a new relationship following her previous rocky relationship with Lewis.

He chases her down, wanting to figure out what went wrong.

She’s taken aback when Cash catches up with her at the Surf Club. He confesses that he followed her there, but he wants to be clear that he isn’t stalking her – after all, he is a cop, he says nonchalantly.

“Perfect, simply perfect,” Jasmine exclaims, surprised. “I’m not interested in the date.”

Jasmine reveals to Irene that she is drawn to Cash while downloading. However, because he is a cop, she would never consider dating him!

She hasn’t had the best relationship with the cops. She came in Summer Bay towards the end of 2017, just before Kat Chapman was murdered in a vehicle accident. She had a brief affair with Colby Thorne that didn’t work out, and then she fell in love with Robbo Shaw.

The couple married, although it was just for a brief time. Robbo died in a vehicle accident in early 2020, when his Federal Police colleague Scott, who had been blackmailed by the Ouroboros gang into killing Robbo, drove their car off the road.

After all of that, Jasmine can’t bear the notion of dating another officer.

Irene, on the other hand, tries to persuade her that Cash is an entirely different sort of officer than Robbo. He’s attempting to recover John’s funds, he’s been assisting Kieran with his alcoholic’s anonymous sponsorship difficulties, and he went above and above in assisting Leah. Perhaps he’s worth a chance!

“You have to agree with me that he’s a nice bloke.” Plus, he’s not too bad-looking…”

She persuades her to simply take a drink with him in order to get to know him better.

Cash, on the other hand, is looking for explanations from another officer following the surprise refusal.

Officer Murray (John-Paul Jory), one of the town’s longest-serving policemen, knows everything there is to know about the Yabbie Creek Police Station. Murray admits that Jasmine Delaney used to be married to one of their officers when Cash asks whether he knows of a Jasmine Delaney.

“What more do you know?” Cash enquires, eager to learn everything there is to know about his new romantic interest.

He apologizes for suggesting a date when he next sees Jasmine at the Diner, explaining that he understands she’s gone through a lot. If he’d known about her spouse, he may have…

She’s taken aback. “Wait, what does my spouse have to do with anything?” says the speaker. “With whom have you been conversing?”

He attempts to explain that he was only trying to figure out what was going on with her, but Jasmine just views it as him spying on her!

“All right, we’re done!”

As she walks away, enraged by what has just transpired, it appears that all hope of romance is long gone. Will he be able to persuade her to go on that first date, or will they be done before they even start?
