Nikau’s remorse gets the better of him in next week’s episode of Home and Away in the UK, as he eventually confesses everything to Bella about his night with Sienna. Will she listen to his explanation, or is this the end of his relationship?
Since Bella (Courtney Miller) won ‘Most Outstanding Portrait’ at the 2021 Portrait of the Year competition, Bella’s (Courtney Miller) and Nikau’s (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) lives have altered significantly.
She won with a candid photograph of Nikau resting in bed, and while he was first enraged that she hadn’t obtained his permission, the photo ultimately changed his life. It began out OK, but now it’s going the wrong way.
At the prize ceremony, Bella met a woman who looked genuinely interested in the guy in her winning photo. She got a call from the lady we now know as Sienna (Rose Riley) a few days later, but it wasn’t Bella she wanted to talk to, it was Nik.
After a few months, Nikau has established herself as a full-fledged member of her modeling agency, completing beautiful shot after the glamorous shoots for an ever-growing number of customers.
It comes with a slew of perks, including a hefty salary package, free company gifts, and the opportunity to provide for his family for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, there are a lot of drawbacks, and Bella hasn’t been fond of her boyfriend’s image-obsessed behavior. He began working out, pushing himself too hard, and even considered appetite-suppressing medications in order to get his body photoshoot-ready.
The worst aspect of the modelling profession, though, is Sienna. Bella has always been a danger to Nikau’s career, and she knows that if it came down to it, he would always pick her. So she’s made it her mission to separate the two, and she’s almost there.
When she invited Nikau up to her apartment after their previous Sydney shoot, she knew exactly what she was doing.
She didn’t push Nikau into her bed, but she set up the circumstances to make Nikau believe Bella had cheated on him with her mentor, Emmett (JR Reyne), and it worked brilliantly.
He’s been tortured with remorse for the past week, knowing he had to tell Bella the truth. To make matters worse, Sienna continues showing around, mocking him by attempting to befriend Bella and demonstrating her dominance over Nikau.
When Sienna wants to take Nikau away for another photoshoot the next week, this time for a streetwear brand, Bella is furious. However, as a means to win her over, Sienna gives her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: she can be the shoot’s photographer!
She has complete creative control over the project, including directing the models and make-up artists, as well as finding the right grungy setting for the streetwear shot. She adores the experience, which makes her fall in love with Sienna for the first time.
Her feelings for the agent, however, aren’t going to last long…
Nikau attempts to whisk Bella away at the conclusion of the session so they may celebrate together. Sienna, on the other hand, has another surprise up her sleeve, revealing a chilled selection of champagne and beers — it’s time to toast Bella’s first assignment with the agency!
Nikau feels despondent and realizes there is nothing he can do. If you disobey Sienna, she may disclose everything.
Instead, he approaches Allegra (Laura McDonald), hoping to learn why she would send him phony texts from Bella’s phone while deleting the actual ones he sent.
She seemed to have taken a strong like to Sienna’s way of thinking. She claims that the Japan trip is her last chance to make it big, and she’s willing to split Nikau and Bella apart in order to do so.
She does, however, add up that all she did that night was Nikau in the city. “I didn’t put you in Sienna’s bed,” she says. “You’re the one that slept with her!”
She tells Nikau that he should just do what Sienna wants and that no one has to feel harmed if he does so – “just play the game.” Nik and Tane (Ethan Browne) both realize he can’t keep lying for much longer. Even if it means breaking Bella, he must tell her the truth.
After the thrill of the day has worn off, Bella drops a bombshell on him. She believes he should visit Japan!
The shoot has altered her perspective on things, and she now realizes how successful her partner might be if he pursues modeling full-time. She doesn’t want to get in the way of his plans, so she’s prepared to put up with three months apart.
Despite the good news, Nikau realises that he must still tell her the truth. After many false starts – interrupted by Emmett’s phone calls and Bella’s need to choose photographs for the show – he eventually sits her down on the sand dunes and says the words he dreads uttering.
He says that Sienna tricked him into thinking he’d lost her the night of the exhibition. Because of the photo of Bella and Emmett, his clever agent convinced him that Bella was cheating on him.
He begins hesitantly, “Bella, something occurred.” “I slept with Sienna!”
Her entire universe crumbles in front of her.
She runs away from Nikau, refusing to converse with him. As if the news wasn’t bad enough, Sienna is the first person she meets as she exits from the Surf Club. She approaches her, and Dean (Patrick O’Connor) is the only one who prevents her from slamming the agent.
Nikau is shattered. He realises that persuading Bella to forgive him will be a difficult task after witnessing her expression. He’s heartbroken, and he can’t believe he let Sienna to mislead him into ending their relationship.
And yet, it is precisely what he has done. And now he must make the difficult option of whether or not to continue his profession.
