Jasmine Delaney and Cash Newman’s first date on Home and Away ends with an injury, so it won’t be the end of their rough path to romance.
Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Jasmine (Sam Frost) have been flirting since Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) came in the Bay earlier this year. Jasmine, on the other hand, is wary of going any farther with Cash because of her tumultuous background with cops.
According to TV Week, Cash will eventually persuade Jasmine to go on a date with him in forthcoming scenes, despite her misgivings about his profession.
As they play touch football together, the two become closer, and when Cash appears to have wounded himself during the game, nurse Jasmine can’t help but feel sorry for him.
Jasmine was shown getting into a car with Cash and declaring him “officially my hero” in a recent trailer for the drama, implying that more romance may be on the way for the couple – but will Jasmine be able to get past her concerns over Cash’s professional choice?
Nicholas recently shared more about what makes his character tick, stating that Cash is “following in his foster father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in law enforcement,” but that Cash is more than simply a cop.
“A strong moral compass and a devotion to community, which he places before just mindlessly following the letter of the law,” he added of Cash, who he described as “a working class man with a sensitive spirit.”
“We’ll have to wait and see!” the actor teased, adding that he hopes Cash will escape the “grisly endings” that previous Bay police officers have met.
Home and Away airs Cash and Jasmine’s first date this week on Channel 7 in Australia and in September on Channel 5 in the UK.
