Get aroused! Home and Away return to television after the famous COVID 19 pandemic was replaced by news bulletins
Home and Away Channel Seven drama were briefly suspended to allow supplementary news bulletins to air in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic. Australian actress Emily Weir, who portrays the outsider Mackenzie Booth, revealed on Wednesday that on Easter Monday the show was returning to screens.
The 29-year-old actor said posting a photo of what appears to be her home bedroom: ‘With a note to say we’re back on Screens April 13.’
‘Summer Bay is back in Practice,’ she said cheerfully, smiling into the frame. ‘I hope everyone stays home, stays happy and stays strong. To be in your living room, we can’t wait.
This comes after production was shut down on the famous show set over concerns of COVID-19. Channel Seven said cast and crew safety and well-being were a priority and shooting should be halted.
A spokeswoman said to TV Tonight on March 22: ‘Seven Studios today confirmed that it will instantly suspend Home and Away shooting.’ ‘It’s reported that no cast or crew checked COVID-19 positively, but that the decision was taken because of the the logistical challenges involved with the COVID-19 scenario.’ Returning star Luke Jacobz was also seen announcing the exciting news of the show’s return to the official Instagram page of the series.
The 39-year-old rose to fame from 2008-2011, after playing police officer Angelo Rosetta. Speaking to this week’s The Daily Telegraph, Luke said producers approached him in January to ask him to take up his job again.
‘[Channel Seven executives] called me in and asked,’ How do you see Angelo returning to the bay? “said the star. ‘I said “pretty good”-so it was “Alright, let’s get a shave, a wardrobe fitting so look at some scripts” almost instantly,’ he enthused.
