Home and Away issues update on filming after postponing shoots

Home and Away has issued a fresh production update, indicating that filming has begun on the show.

In July, Home and Away went on a two-week hiatus, which was prolonged after additional Covid-19 lockup limitations were implemented in Sydney, where the show is filmed.

“We can confirm that production is resumed and complying closely to all government regulations and limitations,” a Home and Away representative told Digital Spy.

Nikau Parata’s (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Bella Nixon’s (Courtney Miller) relationship is on the rocks, and the aftermath of a major explosion and a car collision is playing out in the Bay for both Australian and UK audiences.

Summer Bay inhabitants aren’t all doom and gloom, though, since there is plenty of romance in the air.

As Ryder and Chloe’s relationship develops, actor Lukas Radovich, who plays Ryder Jackson, recently revealed that the show has begun taking a new approach to on-screen romantic scenes, telling Digital Spy that he and co-star Sam Barrett (Chloe Anderson) have been working with an intimacy coordinator.

“It’s been a new experience for me since we’ve been working with an intimacy coordinator for the first time,” he added. “It’s something Home and Away has done for a couple of the new couples on the programme, and it’s something they want to do for every new relationship going ahead.”

“I’ve learned a lot about how to handle personal situations, and the script reflects that.” It’s equally as important as working with a stunt coordinator, so looking at personal situations in that light was fascinating.”
