Bec Hewitt was well positioned for a major television comeback after becoming runner-up on Dancing with the Stars: All Stars earlier this year.
According to insiders, the 37-year-old actress was considering resuming her role as Hayley on Home and Away!
Bec told the Daily Telegraph at the time, “I’d love to take another acting job.” “I enjoy collaborating with creative individuals, so we’ll see what happens.”
However, in an unexpected turn of events, the mother of three appears to have disappeared following her highly lauded performance on the famous dancing competition.
Bec hasn’t been seen in public for 85 days and has made relatively few media appearances.
Bec was last seen out and about with her children Mia, 15, and Ava, 10, on April 18th. The former actress has also been quiet on social media, with her most recent picture on April 27 showing her son Cruz, 12, playing tennis.
In addition, her husband, Lleyton, appears to have increased his fatherly responsibilities in recent weeks. On July 1, the 40-year-old former tennis champion was seen looking downcast as he dropped Ava off at a dancing lesson in their hometown of Melbourne.
The announcement comes after rumours about the couple’s 16-year marriage, when allegations surfaced that Bec was home shopping alone in Sydney late last year.
Bec was rumoured to be looking at homes on the Northern Beaches, nearly losing out on a $15 million Manly mansion. Bec, who grew up in the area and shot episodes of Home and Away there, is sure to have fond recollections of it.
Bec and Lleyton’s excursion to their old Western Sydney haunts in January seemed to be everything but cheerful, with a “tired and stressed out” Bec spotted grimacing and putting her hands to her face in misery.
