Jean Slater has spent the majority of 2021 convinced her cancer had returned in EastEnders.
After her first cancer scare, Jean was horrified to find another lump on her breast last Christmas but chose to not tell her children about it.
In the doctor’s office, Jean became so terrified about what the future may or may not hold, she left the surgery and failed to actually hear confirmation on whether she had cancer again.
Since then, Jean’s life has been…interesting to say the least.
Most recently, she faced police trouble after Ruby (Louisa Lytton) realised she was growing cannabis plants in her garage.
At the station, Jean stood up and collapsed and was later told the lump on her breast is benign.
Coming up, with Stacey (Lacey Turner) back on our screens, she’s happy to see Jean pay a visit to her in prison.
Jean sits down and lets her know she is cancer free, but has also been charged regarding possession of drugs.
Of course, Stacey has been away for so long, how will she react to know Jean has spent months thinking she was fighting cancer again?
