In EastEnders, Kim Fox-Hubbard (Tameka Empson) wants to discover the truth about her missing husband, but Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) wants her to stop digging for obvious reasons, knowing that if she gets too close to the truth, her life – and his freedom – might be compromised.
Phil overcame old crook, Aidan Maguire, in a final battle, but not before the Irish charmer put Vincent to death for double-crossing him.
With Vincent leaking information about Aidan, Phil informed him that Aidan was aware of the situation and was planning vengeance – and it wouldn’t be as simple as a walking stick thrashing.
Vincent chose to go for his own safety, leaving Kim and Pearl distraught and convinced.
Vincent, on the other hand, was about to betray himself, as a pistol was pointed straight at him in the getaway car. Viewers and Kim will never know what happened to him, but when she tracks down a man in possession of Vincent’s wallet, she partners up with Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to figure out who he is and how he is connected to her husband’s disappearance.
Phil is disturbed when he learns of Kim’s determination, and he gives her a firm warning that there will be consequences. Is she in danger, and how much information will Phil reveal?
Phil makes it clear to Kim that she either stop digging for answers or risk serious consequences. She overhears Jack and Kim talking about meeting Vince and learning more about him later.
Denise, terrified, begs Kim to stop talking about it, and Kim agrees — before promptly breaking her word and telling Jack it’s game time.
But she might live to regret it if she realizes Vincent is no longer alive. Or if she finds herself in the midst of a despotic mob intent on quiet.
Kim is notorious for being difficult to keep quiet about, but she might be in over her head this time.
