In EastEnders, new photos have been published that show Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) confronting her problematic mother Sandy (Martha Cope).
Sandy’s previous alcoholism led to her connection with Nick Cotton, and when she became pregnant, she kept it a secret at first, but eventually told Nick when he was in prison.
Nick took up custody after his release and told a young Dotty that Sandy had died in a vehicle accident.
Sandy was a character that featured in two episodes of the serial drama in 2010, played by actress Caroline Pegg.
Dotty’s heart sinks as Sandy turns up, eager to wreak mayhem, fresh off a successful relaunch event at Ruby’s.
But what drew Sandy to Albert Square in the first place?
Viewers just learned that Terry Cant (Brian Conley) is Dotty’s Uncle Tom, and the two are conspiring to defraud and steal Sonia’s (Natalie Cassidy) inheritance money, but how will Sandy’s presence affect their scheme?
Is it possible that Sandy will be the one to reveal what Dotty and Tom are up to?
What about Dotty’s relationship with her mother?
How terrible was Sandy’s treatment of her?
