It’s clear that the Home and Away cast is just as good at job counselling as it is at matchmaking.
Patrick O’Connor and Sophie Dillman, who have hot on-set and off-set chemistry, are one such Summer Bay love tale.
Patrick wrote a heartfelt note to Sophie on her 28th birthday over the weekend, and his caring words couldn’t have been nicer.
Patrick shared a series of photographs with Sophie throughout the years on Instagram.
With some of their hilarious escapades, the actor revealed a few somber moments.
The duo can be seen snuggling by the bay in one shot and striking funny faces on the red carpet in another.
“Happy birthday to my number one,” Patrick said in the caption, “very proud of you and couldn’t fathom living this crazy life without you, thank you for everything.”
Patrick’s co-stars from Home and Away soon filled the comment area with encouraging remarks.
“Happy birthday, lovely Soph,” Georgie Parker wrote first, followed by “Awww cuties” from Sam Frost.

Sophie shared a photo of herself and Patrick during her birthday celebrations on Instagram.
Patrick surprised her with a single red rose and a bottle of red wine, dressed in a red and white striped suit and a straw hat.
She said in the caption, “The happiest day of my life. @paddy.oco has the greatest outfit ”
Patrick also shared a photo of himself in his love motivated to get up, along with a witty remark.
He joked, “That’s a more dude.”
His co-stars praised him for his romantic show once again in the comments area.
Georgie Parker had this to say about it: “That’s a great drop ” Emily Symons said, adding, “Well done Patrick!” Exceptionally well-executed effort.
The adored pair may have met on set and fallen in love, but they had known one other for a long time before Summer Bay entered their lives.
“We knew each other at university – we went to acting school together years ago,” Sophie told The Morning Show in March.
“We were friends back then, but we were in different years at the time, so we didn’t see each other much – until we ran into each other on the programme. And, coincidentally, our characters met on the programme.”
