Next week on Coronation Street, Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) will have to explain himself when Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) challenges his relationship with his ex-wife Sabeen (Zora Bishop).
In forthcoming scenes, the solicitor is nervous as he returns to the courtroom on the day of Kelly Neelan’s (Millie Gibson) sentence.
Given all Kelly has been through, he wants to persuade the judge to be lenient with her. It remains to be seen whether he succeeds, but there will be more drama after the sentencing.
What happens next is unclear, but Imran ends up with a bloody nose, and this footage – from the second of the ITV soap’s two episodes next Wednesday (September 29) – indicates that Sabeen rushes him to the hospital following the event.
Toyah, on the other hand, isn’t happy about it, and armed with information from Gary Windass (Mikey North), she confronts her love and wants explanations.
She inquires, ‘Is there something going on between you and Sabeen?’
Imran almost chuckles at Toyah’s idea and asks where “all of this is coming from.”
‘We had a fight the night before the verdict,’ Toyah says. You informed me the next day that you had been at the office all night.’
Imran is a firm believer in this version of events.
Toyah replies, “Well, Gary said he spotted you walking into a bar.”
‘Did you go out with Sabeen?’
Imran has lost his ability to speak.
Is he going to tell it like it is? Imran vanished on the night of the verdict, and he’s been haunted by remorse about what happened that night ever since.
