This week has been a week of surprises for the Neighbours. And not in a nice way, as when you realize someone forgot to place the wafer in your Kit Kat, leaving you with four solid chocolate fingers. But the sort where a parent is about to discover their child isn’t who they believe it is. Indeed, bad times are on the way.
Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) is understandably arrogant as Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) effectively signs on the dotted line with his unrefusable bargain. But Nic, who has pulled off the most unbelievable fast one, has met his equal.
When Sheila Canning (Colette Mann) finds the truth about her grandson’s contemporary romance, she is in for a rude awakening. She’s not pleased about it, to say the least. But, in a sense, it gets worse for her when she walks in on something she can’t unsee. What will her reaction be?
When Toadie (Ryan Moloney) realizes Melanie’s (Lucinda Cowden) history is coming up with him, he has a heart-in-mouth moment. Which is more important to him: his girlfriend or his reputation?
And Amy (Jacinta Stapleton) is having one of those days where she texts the wrong person and everything goes to hell.
Here’s what’s coming up next in Neighbours.
Paul reappears with Aaron and David’s child, but there’s a catch
Paul offered Nicolette an offer she couldn’t refuse after finding she had secretly given birth — a large sum of money in return for the newborn girl. She gives over the newborn girl with a grin on her face. Paul returns to Ramsay Street, oblivious to the fact that the newborn girl is not Nic’s. Aaron, David, and the rest of the family have no idea this isn’t baby Isla, but Jane is suspicious when she returns. She doesn’t think Nick will abandon her baby and, concerned about her daughter’s safety, hires her own private investigator to seek her down. When Paul learns about this, he uses a bribe to divert Jane’s quest.
The PI then provides Jane with incorrect information, leading her down the wrong road. Will she be the one to unearth the horrible truth? She’s hellbent on finding Nic.
Sheila gets a s.. shock
Sheila is torn between the thought of Levi being in a polyamorous relationship and her belief that he deserves more. When she gives herself a scare by walking in on Amy and Ned in the middle of doing it, she proves her argument. She thinks it’s disrespectful to her grandson and tantamount to cheating, but she can’t persuade him otherwise. Sheila throws Levi a birthday BBQ, but Sheila has a scheme in the works: she invites Ned and Amy to attempt to persuade Levi to see reason.
He, on the other hand, sees red for her interfering and urges her to get out of his love life.
Harlow grows out of her boots
Terese assigns Harlow the duty of conducting some study on Lassiters so that she may prepare a strong presentation for the Quill hotel. But Harlow, who is new to the profession and in a position that is too demanding for her, goes about it all wrong. Harlow crawls with her tail between her legs to Terese, admitting she was wrong and Chloe was right, and it appears something is finally going right for her as Chloe gives her a talking to.
Amy makes a mistake
Amy wants to have a fumble with Ned, so she reserves a hotel room for them so they can have some alone time away from prying eyes. However, she makes a rookie mistake by failing to check the ‘To’ section before sending the message, causing it to be sent to Levi. She is completely unaware that the message has made its way to Ned’s ears, and she is about to get a surprise on her doorstep that is far more than she bargained for.
Paul pulls the plug on the agreement
Shay is pressuring Terese to close the transaction, but there’s a snag in the works in the form of Paul. Paul pulls the plug without explanation just as Terese is ready to cross the Ts and dot the Is. Terese will have to explain it to Shay in some way.
A love triangle with Toadie
Toadie is in a pickle with Mel because her shady history, which included an affair with her previous boss that ended tragically, has come back to bother them, as Toadie’s clients have learned of it and are abandoning him. While his company and reputation are failing, he is fighting to support his girlfriend.
Rose Walker, Toadie’s ex-girlfriend, shows in like a knight in shining armor, which may be an issue for Mel. Toadie attempts to convince Mel that Rose is only trying to help, but does Rose have a hidden agenda? He’ll soon have to pick between the two options.
Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, September 6th.
